Swallow's Nest was converted in 2001 by craftsman Eric Oldham. The original building dates from the 1860's and was used as a Coach House and stables to the School Farm. Eric's conversion provided a delightful blank canvas for Maggie Oldham's interior design. Using a mixture of traditional and modern, Maggie & Eric have created a wonderful location and base for your weekend or longer break in Suffolk.

Nearby Attractions. Although set in the idyllic Suffolk countryside, Swallows Nest is ideally situated a picturesque drive away from many charming villages and towns. Slightly further away are the bustling historic centres of Norwich, with it's superb shopping, and the seaside resorts of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft with their many attractions such as the Theme Park Pleasurewood Hills. Ilketsahall St Margaret A delightful Suffolk village between the market towns of Bungay and Halesworth. Perfectly situated for a relaxing break and close to the famous St Peter's Brewery (and its fine restaurant!).

Maggie and Eric have lived for many years in the village and are a wonderful resource for information on local amenities. In the grounds of School Farm Eric has his workshop where he restores antique furniture for School Farm Antiques - their shop in nearby Bungay. Maggie also runs 'No. 30' - also in Bungay where you can buy beautiful and very economic furnishing and household items.
